Today, I am sharing with you a curated list of Free Harvard education and business courses that can help you upskill and boost your income potential.
The Myth of Free Stuff
There are two types of people. Which camp do you fall in?
The first group are eager beavers. They sign up for many free courses but never actually get around to learning anything. Their inbox is clogged with all sorts of newsletters and emails from blogs to which they’ve subscribed. They jump from one thing to another, never paying attention to anything in particular. Soon, they get overwhelmed. Too much information. They are overloaded, and some eventually unsubscribe from all communications. Why not? It is free, after all. How good can it really be?
The second group tend to sign up only after careful consideration because they know the course is not free. Yes, they have not paid a dime for the course. But actually doing the course means spending time. Time is not free, whether we are aware of it or not. Our time is the most valuable resource; as a matter of fact, your time is more valuable than money. You have 24 hours today. Once today is over, you cannot get back your time.
Knowing the value of time is super important, so before you browse to see what courses are available from the legendary Harvard, consider your ultimate goals. What do you hope to gain, and how does it help achieve your goals?
Why should we keep learning?
New Technology
The world is changing at an alarming rate. I finished university in the early 1990s, but I never worked with a computer until 1997. I never used a computer in school, yet most of the work we do now is done on computers. We must adapt effectively to technological advances, economic shifts, and new challenges if we want to be competitive. We keep learning because we don’t want to be extinct like the dinosaurs.
Inspiration and Role Modelling
By pursuing education and personal development, we set a positive example for others in our community, inspiring them to value and pursue continuous learning as well.

The Hustle Culture
Having a single source of income from employment is risky, especially if you are a black woman living in the West. Upward mobility and job security are not guaranteed. I believe in the hustle culture of having other means of bringing extra income to cushion the blows of redundancies or mistreatment at work. Continuous learning and updated skills are essential for generating additional income and adapting to new opportunities.

Our world is completely digitalised. The most profitable goods nowadays are digital products because they can be produced for next to nothing in terms of cost and sold over and over. Most people’s reason for not being able to start up a business is the lack of funds. If this is you, look into digital assets that you create once and sell over and over. I happened to notice that Harvard has lots of FREE computer science courses.
